Derrick Rose’s championship dreams for Detroit Pistons
Easier Path to the Finals
Rose didn’t elaborate too much on his thoughts of the Pistons championship chances, but one reason he gave was that the Pistons are a team in the Eastern Conference.
It is well known around the league that the Western Conference is still deeper than the East, by far. With Kawhi Leonard’s departure from the NBA Championship Toronto Raptors to the Los Angeles Clippers, the Western Conference remains more top heavy as well.
Fighting off teams like the Miami Heat and the Orlando Magic for a playoff spot is probably a much easier draw than what you would find in the West, but the question still remains.
How the heck do the Pistons beat teams like the Milwaukee Bucks, and the Philadelphia 76ers in a seven-game series?
The advantage, in the eyes of Rose, are the big men on Detroit’s roster.
