This season should be more of the same, as the Bulls are one of the youngest teams in the league and should again be competing for the top pick in the draft. The Pistons are the stronger team and should be able to bully the Baby Bulls into submission. It will be difficult for Detroit to complete another season sweep, but I predict they will win three of the four.

Dec. 21st will be part of a difficult stretch for Detroit as it will be the third game in four days after tough match ups with Toronto and a road game against Boston the night before. This is part of a 10-game stretch where the Pistons will face Toronto, Boston, Philly, San Antonio, Utah, Golden State and both teams from L.A.

This is one of the most important parts of the season and will play a big role in deciding Detroit’s fate. Given the opponents in this stretch it will be easy to overlook the Bulls, so this has all the makings of a letdown game for Detroit where tired legs and looking ahead to the next opponent make the Pistons forget about the task at hand.

If Detroit stays focused and takes care of business, there is no reason why they shouldn’t sweep the Bulls again.

This is the fifth of Piston Powered’s season preview series, where the staff takes a look at how the Pistons match up against all 29 teams in the NBA. Previews to date:
