3. Tony Snell doubles his career points average
Snell has been a consistent NBA player, but hasn’t really ever been someone who puts up big numbers, especially scoring-wise. Throughout Tony’s career, he’s only been able to average a modest 6.2 points per game and has been primarily looked at as a solid wing defender who could knock down the occasional triple.
That could all change this season.
Snell is being put in a seemingly perfect position to succeed with Detroit this year. It is well-known that the Pistons have been lacking a solid wing presence for a long time. Someone who can defend the NBA’s elite on the perimeter as well as spread the floor on offense so players like Drummond and Blake Griffin can go to work. That is exactly what the Pistons will be looking for in Snell this season.
With his newfound role as a starter on the wing with a team desperate for his skill set, I predict with confidence that Snell will easily double his career points-per-game average this season.
Being such an important piece to the puzzle for the offense, we should see Snell be able to spread the floor and knock down open shots when the defense collapses on Griffin and Drummond. It should be no surprise if Snell has a career season with the Pistons, and we should all be excited to see it.
