4. Luke Kennard wins Most Improved Player

This one would make Pistons fans everywhere take a collective sigh of relief when it comes to thinking about the 2017 NBA draft.

Though Luke Kennard didn’t make quite the splash that Donovan Mitchell did coming into the league, he has still been a bright spot off the Pistons bench for the last two years, flashing signs of promise and pure talent numerous times. The sharp-shooting Kennard has posted a solid 40 percent 3-point percentage throughout his two seasons in the league, and saw his points, assists, and rebounding numbers come up last year from his rookie season.

Though he has been effective, he still has a lot of room to grow and improve his game. Kennard’s high mark for points per game was last year at 9.7, and he is capable of putting up much better numbers than that. With his improvement from year one to year two, it is safe to assume that Kennard will once again take a step forward this season and take another leap on the stat sheet.

Between coming into his own in the league and the Pistons carving out a more defined, essential role for him. Whether that’s in the starting lineup or off the bench, we should be seeing Kennard’s numbers take a huge leap in just about every category.

His skill set is an essential one to what the Pistons are trying to accomplish out on the floor, and this could lead to him putting up the numbers that would make it hard to not hand over the title of most improved player to him.

Cool-hand Luke will impress Pistons fans even further and put the NBA on notice this season, just wait and see.
