5. Pistons win 50+ and finish Top 4 in East

This prediction may seem like the most bold of them all, but it is entirely possible – given just about every other prediction comes true.

While it does seem as though the rest of the Eastern Conference has improved after this offseason, the Pistons are certainly right there with them.

More from PistonPowered

Key additions this summer have bolstered the Pistons roster and have potentially made them a deeper team than we have seen in Detroit in a long time. If all of these new additions are able to come in and contribute to their fullest capabilities, the Pistons are candidates to make some real noise in the East.

Health is another major factor – such as the health of Griffin, Jackson and Rose. If the team is able to get a near-full season out of all of them they will naturally win more and be able to sustain more deep runs throughout the entirety of the season, propelling them up the Eastern Conference standings.

The Pistons have the formula to make this happen this year. With Griffin and Drummond doing everything that they do best, and the right role players performing at a high level and executing their designed roles for the team, the Pistons could be a tough squad to beat this season – improved Eastern Conference or not.

This team will make some noise this year, I’m sure of it. As for how far they’ll take it, though, well we’ll just have to wait and see.
