Detroit Pistons vs. Denver Nuggets 2019-20 preview
Predicting the series
Game 1: Feb. 2, 12:30 at Little Caesars Arena
Game 2: Feb. 25, 9 at Pepsi Center
In what was an up-and-down year for Detroit, they nearly came away with a series sweep against the Nuggets, who ended up 54-28 and losing a seven-game series in the Western Conference Semifinals.
That’s a pretty remarkable feat for a young Pistons team under a first-year coach with limited rotational options.

Detroit should take a leap in the second year of the Casey and Stefanski era, especially considering the team added depth, namely with Derrick Rose and Markieff Morris, among others. It will still be a tall ask to win a single game from the Nuggets, let alone two.
Prediction: Pistons sweep 2-0
It’s a bold prediction but the meetings set up nicely for the Pistons. The first game is the front-end of a back-to-back with a home game two days prior.
This is likely one Detroit tries to win with a trip to Memphis and then returning home to complete a three-game-in-four-days set with the Suns. It’s a winnable stretch before life gets tough post-All-Star break schedule.
The second meeting comes as the second game of a West coast swing that begins in Portland, then a day off before playing the Nuggets. The next two meetings are with the Suns and Kings, so it’s a great opportunity to push for a 3-1 stretch.
