Predictions

Game 1: Jan. 5, 10 p.m. at Staples Center
Game 2: March 22, 6 p.m. at Little Caesars Arena

Not only do the Lakers present matchup problems for Detroit, their games fall into difficult stretches of the schedule. As much as it pains me to say it, the hated Lakers have a good chance to sweep the season series unless their reality show roster goes completely off the rails.

More from PistonPowered

The Jan. 5th game in Los Angeles is the second game of a back to back with the Pistons facing Golden State the night before. This will be the Pistons third game in four days and not one I expect them to win.

The March 22nd game is sandwiched between Golden State and Milwaukee in another tough part of the schedule where the Pistons play three games in four days. Even without the help of the referees or fans running on the court during the games, the loathsome Lakers will be hard for the Pistons to beat.

Predictions: Lakers sweep 2-0
