Tobias Harris

Harris immediately fit in with the Pistons when he arrived from the Orlando Magic on Feb. 16th, 2016. In exchange for Ersan Ilyasova and Brandon Jennings, Tobias Harris was sent to the Detroit Pistons from the Orlando Magic.

When Harris came to Detroit, the fans did not know his capabilities. He averaged 16.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game while shooting  91.1 percent from the free-throw line in his first 27 games with the team. Before getting traded in his final season with the team, he scored 18.1 points per game while shooting 40.9 percent from the 3-point line.

He exhibited a scoring touch from wherever he shot the ball. He could immediately put numbers on the scoreboard, contributing to the team’s need for offense. The team struggled to have a well-rounded offensive game, but he did not contribute to that issue.

One intangible quality that Harris brought was how well he blended with the team. This chemistry does not show in advanced metrics, but it shows how a team presents itself on the floor and how well they play together.
