The Milwaukee Bucks swept the Detroit Pistons in last year’s playoffs but both teams made some moves. Here’s how they stack up in 2019-20.

The Pistons had a rough regular season and playoff against the Milwaukee Bucks last year, compiling an overall record of 0-8 against the Eastern Conference powerhouse team. Of those eight games, the Pistons only with single digits one time and that came on Dec. 17, 2018 as the Bucks defeated Detroit 107-104.

The Bucks overpowered Detroit in every game with NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the way in points, rebounds and assists.

The Greek Freak averaged 27.7 points, 12.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game against Detroit.

The Pistons did not have an answer for the offense of the top team in the league and who could blame them.

The Bucks had many weapons outside of Giannis and he made sure to get everyone in the offense involved, but when the time was needed, he took things into his own hands.

The playoffs were a cakewalk for the Bucks against Detroit. Milwaukee won each game by 16 or more with its largest margin of victory coming in a 35-point win in game one, 121-86.

The Greek Freak put his stamp on Game Four with a 41-point night as the Bucks took the series with a convincing 127-104 win.

The bright spot for the Pistons last year against the Bucks was Blake Griffin. Like all of last season, Griffin did the best he could in putting his team in a position to win and compete. Against the Bucks, Griffin had three, 27-points-or-more performances, with his highest coming Dec. 5, the first meeting between the two teams. He had 31 points that game.

Going into the new season, Detroit will look to bounce back and give the Bucks a run for its money.

Dwane Casey does not want his team to have a repeat of last year against the Bucks. With the new look Pistons, this year should be a different outcome against Milwaukee.
