Timberwolves O vs. Pistons D

Minnesota’s offense is going to have to come from somewhere other than Towns, who has been owned by Drummond. Unless Towns is willing to hang out on the perimeter all night, as Brook Lopez does to dominate Drummond, this will be the case.

Enter Wiggins. This is the one area where his game has been a plus – being a consistent scorer. Wiggins has largely excelled driving to the basket and using a mid-range jumper. He also likes to post up along the baseline for a turnaround jumper.

If there’s been one development in his game, its that his 3-point shot has gotten incrementally better, around 34 percent over the last three seasons after hovering around 30 percent in his first two seasons.

A healthy Teague would go a long way in helping Minnesota’s offense, being able to facilitate. He has a solid 33.1 career assist rate that reached 37.6 last season, which is 0.3 off his career high. With several weapons, his ability to facilitate will be key. When healthy, he’s a career 35.6 percent 3-point shooter and had been better in recent years but dipped down to 33.3 percent last season.
