Pistons offense vs. Thunder defense

Will Detroit’s offense be enough against a new-look Thunder defense?

Detroit will not have to deal with NBA All-Defensive player in George. They won’t have to deal with Westbrook, who is not only physical on offense but defense as well, either.

The Thunder do still have Andre Roberson who has been battling an injury the past few seasons. If he’s healthy this season, he will be a threat on defense. Roberson has been an exceptional defender his whole career.

Paul also is a very good defender and he’s the type to get in your face and make you uncomfortable.

Reggie Jackson and Derrick Rose will have to come prepared and ready to come at Paul with everything they have because Paul will not lay down for anyone.

Andre Drummond and Steven Adams will be a marquee matchup as the two bigs will play a physical game against each other. Drummond will certainly have to work hard in the paint for those second chance points, especially with Adams on his hip.

The Thunder may throw a plethora of defenders on Blake Griffin, just to switch things up and see if it can find the right defender against him. But it will not be an easy task for sure.

With the new and improved offense that Detroit possesses, the scoring can come from a variety of different players and if the staring five and bench are consistent, then Detroit can steal two games from OKC this upcoming season.
