Detroit Pistons vs. Oklahoma City Thunder 2019-20 season preview
By Kevin Moore
Thunder offense vs. Pistons defense
With Westbrook and George not in the picture anymore for the Thunder, head coach Billy Donovan will need to look elsewhere for the scoring.
Can Paul take over this Thunder offense and get them going in the right direction?
He’s certainly capable of doing so. Paul can get you 20-plus points per night if he really wanted to. He is the type of guard who likes to get the whole offense involved.
With the ball in his hands, he can spread the floor, break apart defenses and score at will.

Playing alongside Adams, Paul will effectively utilize that pick and roll game. The Pistons defense will have to make sure that it has the right gameplan to defend Paul.
I wouldn’t be surprised if head coach Dwane Casey puts Bruce Brown on Paul. Brown is one of Detroit’s top defenders and can cause havoc.
All Detroit has to do is make sure that Paul does not have the ball in his hands the majority of the time. If Detroit can do that, there’s a good chance that two wins will be added to its record.
Detroit will also have to get physical on the glass, both on the offensive and defensive side. Limiting those second chance points will be crucial to getting two victories for Detroit.
