Trading for John Wall

If there’s anything NBA-related I’m vehemently against, it would be trading for Wall. The fact that he will have a player option that would pay him $47.4 million in his age-32 season is something the Pistons shouldn’t take on, whether they’re contending or rebuilding.

Nevermind the fact that this deal doesn’t work out financially. Wall is owed $38.2 million this season and combining Jackson and Galloway’s salaries only leads to $25.4 million. Tony Snell and a minimum contract would need to be included to make the salaries work out.

It isn’t plausible for the Wizards to add an unprotected first round pick, either, since they’re on the cusp of a rebuild.

On to the next.
