II. Detroit vs. Everybody

This Pistons need to win the games they’re supposed to and pick off a surprise game from an elite team every now and again. If they take care of that, it’ll come down to the teams they’re in direct competition with.

In a relative sense, it should include the Orlando Magic, Brooklyn Nets, Miami Heat and, potentially, the Indiana Pacers and Atlanta Hawks.

Picking games off from the Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics could determine how high the Pistons’ ceiling is.

Of course the elephant in the room is the Pistons health and how they handle load management as a whole. Below you will find comprehensive team previews, including a review of last season, what offseason moves that specific opponent made and how the teams match up on each half of the court.
