The Dallas Mavericks and Detroit Pistons meet for their second preseason games. Minute predictions are tough but here is our DFS advice and analysis.

Wednesday’s daily fantasy sports (DFS) slate features five games, including the Dallas Mavericks visiting the Detroit Pistons for a 7 p.m. tilt.

While the NBA has increased its attention on player safety, limiting back-to-backs and keeping its stars healthy, it gave the Mavericks a back-to-back to open preseason play. Dallas played 16 of its 20 players, sitting Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis in 119-104 loss at Oklahoma City. It’s likely to see them play in Detroit on Wednesday.

In addition to those two sitting out on Tuesday, so did JJ Barea and Dwight Powell, who have been ruled out according to Eddie Sefko of the Dallas Morning News.

Of the 16 players that played, 13 of them received double figures in minutes. On the second game of a back-to-back, it may be more of the same though the starters are rested and could play more in Detroit. Be sure to check lineup reports as Rick Carlisle meets the media 90 minutes before tip-off and when lineups are released 30 minutes before tip-off.

In the Pistons 115-91 loss to the Orlando Magic on Monday, 18 of the 20 Pistons played and 11 played double figure minutes. Blake Griffin only played 14 minutes, which is something Dwane Casey planned as the regular season nears and tips off.

Detroit shot an abysmal 33.7 percent from the field and 27 percent from 3-point range. That is more significant because shots didn’t fall despite getting plenty of open shots. The Pistons showed good ball movement and shot selection.

It’s possible to see Griffin play more minutes with a matchup against Porzingis. But there’s no telling for certain. As tip-off draws near, stay peeled to @FantasyLabsNBA on Twitter for up-to-date lineup notices.
