Small forwards

Well, we have written about everyone on the DraftKings slate that also slots at small forward so this is largely FanDuel content.

It’s hard to see Justin Jackson ($4,900) hitting value on the FanDuel slate, especially if Doncic and Porzingis are in the lineup. He’s probably a fade. Dorian Finney-Smith ($4,000) is intriguing because of his rebounding and ability to impact a game defensively but it’s probably not enough to hit value in preseason.

analysis. Diving into Detroit's small forward deficiencies. light

Values

DK: Kennard and Hardaway ($4,400), Snell and Mykhailiuk ($4,000)
FD: Isaiah Roby ($3,500 – value at 17.5 FDFP)

There’s an increasing trend of the FanDuel value plays being on minimum salaries. Roby played 17 minutes, scored six points on as many shots, swatted two shots, had a steal, six rebounds and three assists. He signed a record-breaking contract for a second round pick and will get plenty of run. He’s as sure a thing as it gets in terms of playing time in preseason.

Fades

DK: There aren’t any fades that pop out but Joe Johnson ($4,100) was disappointing in the preseason opener and he likely doesn’t add much fantasy value.
FD: Well, you know, Jackson seems to be the fade as previously mentioned.
