At a near- and minimum salary, Boban Marjanovic is in a great spot to use his strength in the post and on the glass, and his length around the rim that could all lead to a monster game. Likely matched up against Maker, he’ll have a strength ability and length will help recover if Maker attempts to go by him.
The only true issue is that Marjanovic isn’t the most agile and that could cost him a few cheap fouls. Even still, he’s a fan favorite in Detroit and can use that as motivation for his play and to potentially earn an increased role under Carlisle.
Good luck with whoever you choose for your squad on Wednesday. There aren’t a lot of appealing options to pay up for but the punt plays are there.
