Point guards

Indiana is going to run its offense through Malcolm Brogdon, at least until Oladipo gets back. But for Wednesday night, Brogdon is going to be playing in an increased role that he didn’t have with the Milwaukee Bucks. Even at his salary ($6,500 on DraftKings and FanDuel), he’s a candidate to hit value (32.5 DKFP/FDFP) even if he’s defended by Brown.

Brogdon isn’t a bad building block because, outside of Brown, Detroit isn’t a great defensive team in the backcourt.

Values

DK: Derrick Rose ($4,400 – value at 22 DKFP)
FD: TJ McConnell or Tim Frazier ($3,500 – value at 17.5 FDFP)

Rose is a slam dunk play if Jackson can’t go. That’ll mean a larger portion of the game with the ball in his hands, especially with Griffin being ruled out. The Pistons could try to go small with Griffin out, which could slide Rose into the starting lineup as the lead playmaker but all preseason he’s come off the bench, so that’s likely where he’ll stay. He’ll be the key shot creator for himself and teammates if so.

McConnell figures to be the next point guard off the Pacers bench. He’s always been a valuable player, for his teams and DFS players. His ability to score, create shots and hit three’s makes him valuable on either platform ($3,100 on DraftKings – value at 15.5 DKFP).

Frazier comes in to play on either platform ($3,000 on DraftKings – value at 15 DKFP) if Jackson is ruled out of the Pistons lineup.
