Shooting guards
There’s plenty of crossover between point guard and shooting guard, per usual for DraftKings, but also Rose is only available at shooting guard on FanDuel at a slightly more expensive $4,800 (value at 24 FDFP). But that’s still solid value, especially if Jackson sits.
Jeremy Lamb is worth a solid look on DraftKing and FanDuel at $5,800 (value at 29 DKFP/FDFP). He did that pretty easily with the Charlotte Hornets last season and with Oladipo out, he’s likely in for an uptick in production. If he scores 15 points, or more, he’s a quick candidate to hit value with his ability to rebound, get deflections and steals and create shots.
Values
DK: Luke Kennard ($3,300 – value at 16.5 DKFP)
FD: Tony Snell or Bruce Brown ($3,500 – value at 17.5 FDFP)
Kennard at that price seems like a steal. Dwane Casey liked his playmaking ability in the first two games of the playoff series against the Bucks. With Griffin out, he can do that in a small-ball lineup with the starters or off the bench.
Snell’s a hard worker and valuable as a 3-and-D guy. He is a GPP play as the shots may not be there for cash games. It’s a gamble that I wouldn’t feel comfortable playing myself but he’s an option, no less.
Brown has defensive upside because he figures to defend Brogdon and create steals. But if Jackson were to sit, Brown would take on some of the point guard responsibilities. One of the most impressive parts of his preseason was his aggression on the offensive end, attacking through the lane and finishing around the rim. He still doesn’t have a proven shot but if he can score, he’ll get more minutes and more value.
