Injury reports
Reggie Jackson and Khyri Thomas remain out for the Pistons. Joining them is wingman Tony Snell, who misses his first game of the season after exiting early against the Hornets on Friday. Blake Griffin and Rose are not on the injury report and, with only one game in the past eight days, the Pistons should be rested.
The Bulls will be without Otto Porter Jr. and Chandler Hutchison, leaving their wing positions light Luke Kornet is also out.
Coach Jim Boylen ruled out the idea of starting Thaddeus Young at small forward, meaning Chicago will likely go with a three-guard lineup. The other option is to start Lauri Markkanen at small forward alongside Young or Wendell Carter Jr. and Daniel Gafford at center. Those are the four available in the frontcourt for Chicago.
DFS preview
Looking at playable Pistons, both Griffin and Drummond fit the bill. Drummond will be the strongest player on the court and is a nice GPP or cash game option despite a dip in usage with Griffin’s return. Griffin is best as a cash game option given his minutes are likely being monitored despite a long rest.

There are likely better options than Luke Kennard at his price point. He should be productive offensively, especially if both teams go with three-guard lineups with wing injuries. Rose is an emotional appeal, especially after playing so well in the first game this season.
Judging the value on either side is where it gets tricky. Picking a wing against the Pistons has been a reliable DFS play this season. Zach LaVine is a solid play because of the volume he’ll get. Gafford is an intriguing option given his price, one-game sample and a diminished frontcourt.
It’s tough to tell which Pistons will get a bump since there’s been zero consistency in lineups due to injuries. Langston Galloway has been a reliable option for the Pistons and is coming off a career-high 32 points. He may get more volume with Snell out and could draw a start in a three-guard lineup. It could also provide a bump for Brown.
Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk would be a nice GPP play at a minimum price because he’s likely the next wing to get minutes. However, he hasn’t been very good this season and his opportunity is unclear. That may be something to watch when Dwane Casey meets with the media.
Programming note
The Pistons announced they will unveil the new city edition jerseys during the pregame show, which begins at 7:30 p.m. ET. An image surfaced on Twitter late Monday night with a red jersey with two blue stripes down the middle, a white “Motor City” text with white numbers.
