Detroit Pistons 2020 trade deadline guide
Pistons trade speculation/rumors
Other Pistons that could be traded could include Langston Galloway, Rose, Morris and Tony Snell could all be on the table to deal. Given the makeup of contending teams with minimal cap space and larger contracts tide to stars, Detroit could move players just to match salaries.
Detroit only has $51 million in guaranteed money on the books for the 2020-21 season. With plenty of expiring contracts, its possible the Pistons be a trade partner for a team looking to offload salary or be part of a three-team trade, similar to how they got Thon Maker while trading away Stanley Jonson.
Drummond is likely the top free agent on the market this summer, unless something breaks down with Anthony Davis. Becoming a partner to offload contracts could obtain additional assets and draft capitol.
However, it would also take away from a talented restricted free agent market this summer. The Pistons have expressed interest in signing Fred VanVleet. Other restricted free agent targets could include Brandon Ingram or Bogdan Bogdanovic. They also have previously been said to be interested in Frank Ntilikina.
