Trade 3

This is an interesting move for the Pistons because not only would they be acquiring one of the more respected sharpshooters in the NBA in J.J. Redick, but they would also get Jahlil Okafor who could lighten the blow taken if Drummond ends up getting traded or leaving in free agency.

Okafor is a guy who in his rookie season put up 17.5 points per game. From that season, Okafor’s minutes have steadily declined. Okafor went from averaging 30 minutes per game as a rookie to averaging just 16.1 minutes per game this season. With the Pistons, Okafor would provide a consistent low-post threat.

The Pistons would sacrifice wing depth losing Tony Snell, and finish this season with a record of 30-52 which would get them 11th in the Eastern Conference. Drummond would finish out the season being named to the All-NBA Third Team and the All-Defensive Second Team.
