Strengths

One of Avdija’s best qualities is that he has the ability to play multiple positions. Nowadays in the NBA, most players are not asked to play one position but rather have the ability to cover multiple types of players. At 6-foot-8, Avdija possesses the ability to cover a variety of players. Avdija won’t be an elite defender but he will be an above-average defender.

Offensively, Avdija has the ability to create plays out of minimal space. His court vision is top-notch for a prospect who is only 19 years old. He loves to get into the post and find ways to create plays for his teammates.

If he already has a great feel for the game and is able to find his teammates, he can only improve on that once he gets to the NBA. To add on to his court vision in terms of passing, he also is great with moving off the ball and getting to the open spot on the court.

Most importantly though, Avdija has the ability to make shots both from inside the arc and beyond. He excels in the half-court offense and has an impressive ability, for his size, to pull and shoot from the 3. His versatility is one of the most important traits most teams are looking for. Every team is looking for a big man that can make 3s and pick apart any defenders in a pick-and-roll. Avdija has the skills to be able to both of these at a desirable level.
