There is truly only one reason to watch this game and that’s Anthony Edwards. After watching Edwards bring the house down with one of the better posters this season against Vanderbilt and then follow that with a 36-point performance on 50% shooting, I’m all in on Edwards. He’s all that Georgia has in terms of an offense and watching hero-ball can be quite fun.

What I wonder is how he will perform with other professionals around him. With Georgia all but guaranteed to not make March Madness, Pistons fans will have to watch the limited games left in his college career.

On the other side of the sideline is Isaiah Joe. Joe is the two in the one-two punch for the Razorbacks. While Mason Jones is the dominant player on the team, pro scouts love Isaiah Joe’s game. Mocked to go in the end of the first round, Joe has made his mark as one of the better 3-point shooters in the country. Averaging 3.6 3-point makes a game is not a fluke and that shooting will always get you into the NBA. Jones is a volume scorer but like a lot of great college players, it likely won’t translate to the NBA.

While this game doesn’t feature as many prospects as the Auburn Kentucky game, it features one of the more realistic selections for the Pistons in Edwards. His ability to create his own shots is something that the Pistons have been desperately needing for some time now. One of the major flaws of his game is his low 3-point shooting numbers but when he has to shoot as much as he does and play as much as he does, he ends up being forced into tired bad looks.

Adding on to that, Georgia is a terrible team outside of Edwards, so the team is frequently behind which forces quick and often bad shots in order to attempt to get back into the game. Having Edwards and Doumbouya on the wing together would start the rebuild off incredibly well as those young athletic wings are incredibly sought after in the league.
