#19 Ohio State at #16 Michigan State 4:30 pm EST on CBS (Sunday)

For the game of the day on Sunday, we have a match up that is good regardless of the sport. This Ohio State/Michigan State matchup is on the hardwood at the Breslin Center in East Lansing. Emotions will be high for Xavier Tillman and Cassius Winston’s senior day so expect a great game.

Winston is a Wooden Player of the Year candidate thanks to him averaging 18.3 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 5.9 assists.

Cassius’ game of the year so far was on the road against Michigan where he dropped 32 points and 9 assists in a rivalry game, so he’s not shy of the spotlight and will have no issues against the Buckeyes.

More from PistonPowered

After the insane comeback from MSU against Penn State where they were down 19 points in the first half, I’m all in on the Spartans to make a deep run in March. Winston is so much fun to watch, and that’s coming from a Wolverines fan, and a Pistons fan who dreams of getting him in a Pistons’ jersey.

Tillman is an undersized center at 6’ 8” but with his size and play style you’d think he was seven feet tall.

Currently averaging a double-double this year at 13.7 points and 10.4 rebounds, he’s among the top centers in the Big Ten. Xavier played a large part in the improbable comeback for the Spartans putting up a dominant 23-point, 15 rebound double-double in a statement win.

For the Buckeyes, they are led by junior center, Kaleb Wesson. Wesson is averaging 14.2 points and 9.4 rebounds and dominates the Ohio State offense. Duane Washington Jr. is the second leading scorer and the main guard, averaging 11.3 points.

After going 3-7 from December 29- January 23, they’re now on a four-game win streak, beating #7 Maryland, #19 Michigan, and #23 Illinois during that stretch. If the Buckeyes win this game, they’re going to be a real threat and will command some major respect going into the tournaments.

Michigan State, Maryland, and Wisconsin are all tied with 13-6 records so Michigan State can clinch a piece of the regular season title with a victory in the game of the day on Sunday.
