How does he fit in with the Pistons future?

As I mentioned in my draft profile on Cole Anthony, the Pistons are in need of a point guard moving forward. While Bruce Brown could be the option or the Pistons could even select someone like Anthony in the first round, Jones should be someone the Pistons should at least consider.

To start with, drafting Jones in the second round can allow for the Pistons to take someone like Obi Toppin who can fill another need for the future. Jones is not a player that needs to score to feel like a part of the offense, which can be a rarity in today’s NBA culture.

Hopefully, Kennard, Sekou Doumbouya, and Wood are all players who GM Ed Stefanski and owner Tom Gores are hoping to be a part of the core for the future.

Adding a top pick in the first round and a point guard like Jones with a second-round pick can make this draft a major stepping stone in the right direction for the franchise.

Draft profiles no longer have much information since almost all sports leagues are being postponed or canceled, including the NCAA tournament. Duke was, in fact, the first university to suspend all athletic activities amid the COVID-19 fallout.

Jones had two incredible years at Duke and he can be a player who can fill the point guard spot and allow for other players to score at a high rate.

He could be a gem late in the draft, and the Pistons should try to acquire a second round pick so they can take a chance on him.
