A season ago, Zion Williamson was the consensus top pick. This year, whoever goes number one overall is largely contingent on who gets the top pick. Different players make sense for different teams, but there isn’t a single name that stands above the rest.
As it stands, the Timberwolves, Cavaliers, and Warriors posses the best odds at landing the top overall pick.
With the season being suspended, it put a lot of teams at the bottom of the standings in an awkward position. The Pistons for example were well on their way to losing out and securing a top-three chance at getting the top pick in the draft.
The regular season could still pick back up, but as it stands, Detroit has the fifth best odds at getting the number one pick.
