69. . Point guard . New Orleans Pelicans. Killian Hayes . 13. player

For starters, Killian Hayes is projected to be drafted inside of the top-10. However, if the draft order shakes out in the exact way that it has here, he could certainly fall to the New Orleans Pelicans.

If that were to happen, Pelicans fans should be ecstatic, as Hayes is regarded as one of the more complete guards in the entire draft. He’d be a marginally better upgrade behind Lonzo Ball than Frank Jackson currently is for them.

Hayes coming off of the bench in New Orleans would be electric given his complete package as a passer and ability to control the pace of the game. The tandem of both he and Ball in succession would be a lethal threat in transition, especially with Zion in the mix.

He’s not a high volume shooter, he knows when to pick his spots and can effectively hit from anywhere on the floor. Though he’s not often attacking the basket, he possesses the skill to if he so chooses.

One flaw could be how dominant he is with his left hand. Although he’s not often met with blocks at the rim, it can become too predictable at the next level if defenders always know which hand you’ll be going up with at the basket.

He’s not a defensive liability, but he’s not quite elite yet. He’s currently at a healthy middle that’ll easily get him through his first season.
