Caris LeVert

Caris LeVert was drafted 20th overall by the Brooklyn Nets.

As obvious as it may seem, with each year that passed and his shooting volume goes up, he just keeps getting better. He was utilized by the Nets from day one and saw pretty consistent minutes.

He’s a gifted yet tentative scorer with sneaky good passing ability.

The Pistons hadn’t really formed a contingency plan anywhere on their roster, and starting with a 2-3 combo player would have been a tremendous start.

LeVert has always been a pure scorer, but he’s dealt with both major and minor injuries throughout his entire career. When he’s healthy though, he’s exceptional.

His spot up shooting, ball handling, cutting, and shot creating abilities are all improving over time and it netted him a contract extension worth $52 million last summer in Brooklyn.

He’s a quality scoring option on a team that expects to contend next year with a healthy Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. Assuming LeVert survives the Nets hunt for a third star and isn’t traded, he’ll continue to not only be one of their top players, but a fan favorite.
