With the NBA season in limbo, the odds are that we’ve seen a few members of the Detroit Pistons play their final game.

There is reported pessimism surrounding the continuation of the 2019-2020 NBA season, and there’s a growing expectation that it could be cancelled all together. For the Detroit Pistons, their season would have ended before the playoffs regardless.

If the season were to end, six total players could potentially be coming off of the books in Detroit. Some of them will likely be re-signed, but the fact remains that some of them have played their final game as a Piston.

Detroit will have plenty of cap space this summer, and how they’re going to move forward with constructing a new roster is currently up in the air.

As it stands, their going to be a little too good to lose as many games as they did this season. With a healthy Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose, and Luke Kennard, they’re going to have a bit more firepower on the offensive end.

While this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it puts your franchise in a difficult position when you’ve admitted that you’re committing to a rebuild.

So, the Pistons are going to have to cut ties with some of the players that have helped them out over the course of the last few seasons. Some of them however, the decision may go beyond what’s actually in their control.
