The 2020 NBA Draft is a guard heavy class, and then talent inside of it could potentially transcend a few organizations. Who’s next for the Detroit Pistons?
The Detroit Pistons are one of the many teams looking to secure one of the top prizes in this years NBA draft. While it’s still up in the air as to when it may occur, some have speculated that we could see a virtual draft held.
Due to the ongoing global pandemic surrounding COVID-19, we’re seeing a lot less movement in potential number one overall picks. Without the NCAA Tournament, players weren’t able to bump their draft stock.
Along with this comes the simple fact that as a consensus, this class is slightly underwhelming relative to years prior. No individual player is a surefire pick to go number one overall like we tend to see.
It’s also unknown when the draft lottery will be held, given the fact that there’s uncertainty as to whether or not the season will actually resume. If the regular season is picked back up, we could see certain teams jump in the draft standings.
Currently, the three teams with the best odds to land the number one overall picks are the Golden State Warriors, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
As was the case with our previous mock draft, we will be using Tankathon.com’s lottery simulator to do determine the draft order. After one simulation, we can kick things off.
