Luke Kennard

Kennard seemed ready for a breakout this season had his year not been derailed by health issues. In the Pistons playoff series versus the Bucks, Kennard was the main scoring option while Griffin was injured. With Griffin out for the majority of the season, Kennard likely would have been the main scoring option once again along with Derrick Rose.

Out of the 28 games that Kennard appeared in this season he scored at least 20 points in ten of them. In the first game of the season Kennard set his career high for points with 30.

Like Brown, Kennard improved his statline across the board improving in points, rebounds, and assists per game (15.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists) all while maintaining his 40 percent three point percentage!

The Detroit Pistons are looking for a new GM. light. Also

There was a chance that he could have had his breakout season during the 2019-2020 campaign before he was sidelined with bilateral knee tendinitis in December. It sidelined him through the suspension of the season.

If play resumes and the Pistons are left to play a few games, he could certainly make his return and deal some damage for a few games.

Teams began to catch on to his tendencies, and began defending him well enough to limit his shots. While it was frustrating to watch him be suppressed, it opened up his versatility as a playmaker.

With a potential contract extension on the horizon, expect him to be at his best.

The formula for a Kennard breakout next season is quite simple. The first and most important thing is that Kennard needs to find consistent health. Aside from that if he maintains his lights out shooting ability and even improves his defense some he will take a massive leap for next season.
