Barstool Sports podcast Pardon My Take held their annual award show today which saw Detroit Pistons star Blake Griffin win his second consecutive award.

Add another award to Blake Griffin‘s trophy case. The Detroit Pistons star officially sealed the deal on his second consecutive Blake of the Year award.

Barstool Sports top podcast Pardon My Take held their annual “Takies” award show on Monday, and for the third year in a row the most anticipated award was the Blake of the Year.

The participants (for the second year in a row) were former Los Angeles Rams quarterback Blake Bortles, PGA icon Brooks Koepka (though his name isn’t actually Blake, he’s in the mix) and Griffin himself.

The winner is determined through the simplest means possible. The two hosts call each of them, and whoever answers their phone the fastest, wins.

Two years ago Griffin wasn’t able to answer his phone because he was on a plane on his way to Las Vegas to participate in Team USA’s training camp.

One year ago, he answered the phone in 2.8 seconds, securing the victory.

The pressure was on this year, and after Bortles picked up in 5.75 seconds, Koepka in 5.5 seconds, it wasn’t looking good for the Pistons hero.

In a performance reminiscent of his game three and four showings against the Milwaukee Bucks, Griffin once again delivered on the big stage.

He answered his phone in 3.3 seconds. The Blake of Year winner two times in a row. In his victory speech, he joked with the hosts.

"I’m working on a “Last Dance” Blake of the Year documentary as we speak, and the footage will show that I put the time in I care about this."

Pistons fans don’t have much to celebrate, and being able to spend a few minutes listening to one of our franchise’s top players have some fun was a great time.

The fan base has shown their support for the two-time Blake of the Year:
