Luke Kennard’s top three games with the Detroit Pistons

We got Luke Kennard’s input on what he thinks his top three games with the Detroit Pistons have been so far.

Heading into next season, Luke Kennard will be the longest tenured member of the Detroit Pistons. As bizarre as that sounds, it’s true. Through his first three seasons he’s averaging 9.8 points per game on .441/.402/.863 shooting splits.

Admittedly, his scoring average isn’t entirely indicative of where his potential is headed. In his 28 games played last season, before falling victim to bilateral knee tendinitis in December an missing the remainder of the season, he was up to 15.8 points per game.

Luke’s ability to knock down three-pointers is often the focal point of his game, but he’s quickly emerged as a legitimate play maker. He’s an offensive threat with or without the ball in his hands.

As his career progresses, he’s developed more confidence and the tentativeness to shoot that we used to see is quickly disappearing. He was always a reliable spot up shooter, but now we can expect to see Kennard used as a pick and roll handler for Detroit next season.

Luke’s brief career has been full of gems. His earliest one came in a Summer League game in 2017 when he knocked down a game-tying shot in the closing seconds of an overtime game against the Dallas Mavericks.
