4. Detroit Lions

Current Lions Head Coach Matt Patricia must be counting down his days, because it seems he will be searching for a new job in the near future. A stat that almost every Lions fan has seen an unhealthy amount of times is the one about his record.

In four seasons as the head coach Patricia has a record of 11-25-1. To put that into context, the previous Lions head coach Jim Caldwell had a record of  36-28 in his four years with the team.

Former Lions quarterback Dan Orlovsky expressed frustration with Patricia and  the Lions on ESPN a few weeks ago in the clip below, which perfectly described the way many Lions fans felt:

For now, it’s just a matter of being a waiting game between Patricia alongside General Manager Bob Quinn and the new owner Sheila Ford Hamp.

They’ve been drafting well in recent years, but the on field product has fallen into the typical category of “same ‘ol Lions”. There hasn’t been hope in the horizon for quite some time.

Barring a remarkable turnaround this year, which is not so out of the question with the NFC North not playing up to par and the Lions having an average schedule the rest of the way, the Lions are going to have to find a new head coach to try and turn this team around.

The Lions are going to have to tear everything down. Again.
