. SF. Chicago Bulls. Deni Avdija. 4. player. 24

Deni Avdija is quick forward who uses his body incredibly well around the rim. He hasn’t quite developed a consistent jump shot yet, but if he’s able to work outside of the paint more frequently the he could become a legitimate weapon.

He’s a solid passer, defender, and scorer. All three things, the Bulls desperately need. Not a single player in the entire draft takes advantages of more offensive switches than Avdija does, attacking a mismatch the second that it becomes available.

There’s nothing flashy about his game, he’s simple, and he’s effective. He’s also a pretty decent threat with the ball in his hands in transition, his ability to power his way to the rim or even defer to someone else with a quick pass leaves defenses guessing.

Chicago is in the midst of a total organizational reset, spear headed by new head coach Billy Donovan. Getting him the right new player is going to be pivotal in their success moving forward.

Though they’re getting a bit full on front court projects, Avdija is in all likelihood too good to pass up.

In a draft that is largely expected to be, well, unexpected, one pick that feels pretty certain in everyone’s minds is Deni going to the Bulls. Both the fans and the media have been speaking it into existence for quite some time now.

Avdija feels like someone who’s genuinely ready to play at the next level.
