Detroit Pistons: 3 players most likely to be traded before the deadline
The Detroit Pistons have a few trade assets that might net them a nice return.
The Detroit Pistons have started the season pretty much exactly as expected, winning just one of their first eight and looking like they are headed for a top pick in the 2021 draft.
Losing rookie Killian Hayes to injury was a big blow, but the Pistons have several other young players to watch, some of whom need to get more minutes.
Dwane Casey is not going to just give the young players minutes, so it might take a trade or two to clear out some of the clutter and get more minutes for the young guys.
Here are three players the Detroit Pistons could trade who would get a return and open up more minutes for the players they are currently blocking.
HUGE BLAKE GRIFFIN DISCLAIMER: I feel like Blake deserves his own article and the way he is playing there aren’t any teams who would trade for him, so for now, he is not in this discussion.

Mason Plumlee
The Mason Plumlee signing was not one I agree with and it still doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but that doesn’t mean he’s not a player with some value, especially to other teams.
Plumlee is a good rebounder, averages nearly a block per game for his career and is swiping 1.6 steals a game this season for the Pistons.
He’s a smart player and a good passer for a big man, so he can fit on just about any type of team.
The Detroit Pistons should be identifying teams with poor bench units or lacking in big man depth (Hello New Orleans Pelicans!) who might have a young player or a couple of 2nd round picks to offer for the Plumdog Millionaire.
Plumlee has been better than expected and his contract now looks very tradeable.
