Detroit Pistons: Sekou Doumbouya needs consistent minutes

More minutes for Sekou Doumbouya

Sekou Doumbouya played 19 minutes in the last game against Philadelphia and had one of his best games of the season.

He ended the night with 13 points, four rebounds, a steal and an assist and didn’t commit a turnover.

Even with Blake Griffin back, I would love to see Sekou continue to get around 15-20 minutes a night.

This will not only save some wear and tear on Griffin’s knees but will allow Doumbouya to get into a rhythm.

Dwane Casey keeps saying that Doumbouya just needs “opportunity” but acts like he isn’t the one in a position to give it to him.

Please reward the second-year forward’s good game by giving him the chance to have another. He is never going to get confidence and rhythm if he only plays when Blake Griffin sits.

I’d love to see Doumbouya get a similar amount of run so he can start building something.

In case you couldn’t tell, I am not a fan of Philadelphia. The Detroit Pistons have a game and a half cushion in their quest for the worst record, so tonight would be a great night to get a win behind a huge game from Blake Griffin.

A guy can dream.
