Detroit Pistons vs. Denver Nuggets: Injury report

The Detroit Pistons are about as healthy as they are going to be.  Of course, Killian Hayes remains out with a torn labrum, but everyone else should be available, barring a load management decision for Derrick Rose or Blake Griffin. Since they play Utah the next day, it would not be surprising if one of them sat out.

The Nuggets will be missing PJ Dozier (right hamstring strain) and Greg Whittington (left knee arthroscopy) and Gary Harris is questionable after suffering an injury in the Jazz game.

Pistons odds against Denver Nuggets on Monday

Detroit Pistons: They are coming off maybe their worst loss of the season, a 27-point beat down by the Warriors in which they were never competitive. Jerami Grant and Josh Jackson were the only ones to score in double-digits for a putrid offense (not the defense was any better). Wayne Ellington had his worst game of the season.  The Pistons have had a day off to collect themselves. The upside is they can not play worse.

Denver Nuggets: This is for the Nuggets the second game of a back-to-back. Denver is coming a big win on Sunday, snapping the Utah Jazz’s 11-game win streak with a 128-111 victory.  Will they be able to come right back and focus on a 5-15 team that just got shredded?

Pistons odds best bet: (3-2): Go with the Pistons and take the points (Not heavy though).

Looking at it with a clear eye, there is absolutely no reason Detroit should not get filleted by a Denver team that reached the Western Conference finals last year, and just smashed what had been an unbeatable Jazz team.

Of course, if you have followed the Pistons, when they are counted out, is when they play their best. Ask the Lakers how easy a game they had playing the Pistons on the back end of a back-to-back.

A backstory to this game is this is the first game that Jerami Grant and Mason Plumlee have faced Denver since they left the Nuggets last fall in free agency.
