Detroit Pistons vs. Utah Jazz: Injury report

The Detroit Pistons are about as healthy as they are going to be.  Of course, Killian Hayes remains out with a torn labrum, but everyone else should be available, barring a load management decision for Derrick Rose or Blake Griffin.

The Jazz are also pretty much healthy. Both of their two-way players are in Orlando playing in the G-League. The only injured player out is Elijah Hughes (left ankle sprain). Donovan Mitchell has returned after missing several games with a concussion.

Pistons odds against Utah Jazz on Tuesday

Detroit Pistons: They are coming off maybe their worst loss of the season, a 27-point beat down by the Warriors in which they were never competitive. The Pistons now have had a couple days day off to collect themselves. The upside is they can not play worse and they now will not be playing back-to-back due to the Denver postponement.

Utah Jazz: They just saw their 11-game win streak snapped on Sunday by the Denver Nuggets, and now they have had a couple of days to think about it. They will probably come out fired up to show the NBA world the Nuggets game was a fluke.

Pistons odds best bet: (3-2): Go with the under on this one. Both teams have had a few days off and might be rusty offensively. If still believe in the ‘Pistons never get blown out’ theory, you can take them taking the 12.5 points, that is a lot.

Looking at it with a clear eye, there is absolutely no reason Detroit should not get filleted by a Utah team that  had been playing better than anyone else in the league. until the Denver game The trail of money says blow out, as Detroit opened at +9 and is up to +12.5 as of Noon.

Of course, if you have followed the Pistons, when they are counted out, is when they play their best. Ask the Lakers how easy a game they had playing the Pistons on the back end of a back-to-back.

dark. Next. Detroit Pistons: Is it possible to trade Blake Griffin?

The good news is, since Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose were scheduled to start against Denver, one of them, or both, probably would have sat out this game if it had been played. Now, both should be available. (That is good?)
