Detroit Pistons: Could the Pistons trade Mason Plumlee to the Phoenix Suns?

Mason Plumlee has been playing out of his mind lately and has made himself into a trade asset.

The Phoenix Suns could be one of the teams who might want him, as they are thin behind Deandre Ayton.

This was on full display in their last game, as the Suns tried in vain to slow down Zion Williamson (good luck) and had to play Frank Kaminsky big minutes even though he absolutely stunk.

Dario Saric is out for the Suns as well but he is expected to return against the Detroit Pistons and has been the guy getting the most minutes at backup center, a position he is not suited to play.

Plumlee would be a nice fit on the Suns as a backup center to Ayton, as he can rebound, is a good team defender and passer for a big man.

Hopefully, Mason Plumlee will continue his strong play against the Phoenix Suns, dominate their backup bigs and make himself look like someone the Suns would be willing to give up an asset to get.

The Detroit Pistons don’t have to trade Plumlee, as he is on a team-friendly contract and produces but his value may never be higher.
