Detroit Pistons: Derrick Rose, Mason Plumlee are stories to watch vs. Suns
Detroit Pistons: Which young players will play vs. the Suns?
Dwane Casey has dolled out minutes sporadically to the young players, making them “earn” their time while Blake Griffin continues to chuck up bricks.
Even though I’d love to see less Blake, Casey has done a good job for the most part in allocating his minutes.
But there always seems to be at least one young guy in the doghouse, sometimes more.
Saddiq Bey has been there. Sekou Doumbouya is racking up mileage going in and out of the doghouse and Isaiah Stewart saw his minutes cut after a couple of bad games (he has since bounced back).
Most recently it has been Svi Mykhailiuk who has been glued to the bench and he only got five minutes of garbage time against the Jazz.
This is too bad, as he is in the final year of his deal and the Detroit Pistons need to know what they have before they commit to him as part of the future.
Hopefully, Svi will get back into the rotation against the Suns, as they need his shooting and potential floor-spacing.
Even though the Detroit Pistons aren’t winning, there are some compelling storylines to follow.
