The Detroit Pistons are coming off a week that was a masterclass in tanking.

They lost all three games but were competitive against good teams, even taking the Lakers to double overtime before eventually losing.

The young guys are getting valuable reps, the Pistons are playing hard for their coach, and the culture change we’ve all wanted appears to be happening.

The Detroit Pistons have a couple of guys who are playing very well, a few who are playing poorly and a few for whom it is still too early to tell.

The Derrick Rose trade should open up some minutes for the Pistons’ bench, which could benefit a few players for the rest of the season.

Detroit Pistons: Sekou Doumbouya, Saddiq Bey and Svi Mykhailiuk should get more mintues

There are going to be around 15-20 extra bench minutes available for the Pistons now that Derrick Rose is gone.

Some of those might go to the guy they are getting back, Dennis Smith Jr., but the rest are up for grabs.

Hopefully, all three of Doumbouya, Bey and Mykhailiuk will benefit from a couple of extra minutes apiece, as it would be nice to get them all into a rhythm so they can continue to grow.

We don’t know yet how bench minutes will be allocated with Rose gone, but some of their young guys should get a chance to join the next group soon.
