Detroit Pistons: Who will take advantage of increased minutes?

The Detroit Pistons certainly have more minutes to go around now that Rose and Griffin are gone, so it will be interesting to see which young guys step up to claim them.

The first thought was Sekou Doumbouya, since he plays the same position vacated by Blake Griffin, but he took a DNP in the last game against the Bulls.

Svi Mykhailiuk and Saddiq Bey have played well of late and may be the beneficiary of some extra run, same with Isaiah Stewart and Josh Jackson, who would love nothing more than to have a big game against his former team.

Dennis Smith Jr. hasn’t done much with his playing time so far but is playing for a future job, so we could see a bit more of him.

Hopefully, Doumbouya will get out of the doghouse so the Pistons can get him the developmental minutes that he desperately needs but “minutes” will be one of the running themes for the rest of the season.

The Detroit Pistons might be the most compelling last place team I’ve ever watched, and even though they aren’t good, there are still reasons to keep coming back for more.
