The Detroit Pistons will try to keep the tank going in the second game of a  back-to-back against the Orlando Magic.

The Pistons lost the first game behind an anemic offense and a defense that didn’t have an answer for Nikola Vucevic.

The Pistons are not an easy team to bet, as the books don’t know what to make of them. Taking the points in an NBA game is always a risky endeavor, as a close game can turn into a blowout in a matter of minutes.

That’s why I prefer to bet the players, and there is good value in a few Jerami Grant bets for this game. Keep in mind that I am not a professional sharp, so take this advice with a massive grain of salt and always bet responsibly.

Detroit Pistons: Jerami Grant will not get a steal

One bet I like is that Grant will get less than .5 steals vs. the Magic, which is getting -130 odds. Grant just has to get one steal to win this bet but he’s only done that three times in the last ten games.

He did not get a steal in the last game vs. the Magic and Orlando is pretty good at taking care of the ball, just 6th in the entire NBA in turnovers. Of course, if you think he could flash into the passing lane and get one, bet the opposite, which is getting the same odds.

Detroit Pistons: Jerami Grant will have more than 27.5 combined points and rebounds

Another bet I like at -111 is that Grant will have more than 27.5 points and rebounds combined.  He’s averaging 28.6 for the season and should get plenty of opportunities for both, especially with Delon Wright out with an injury.

Grant had 29 points and rebounds in the last game and with the Detroit Pistons throwing up plenty of bricks and light on scoring options, Grant should be in for another big night of points and boards.

Detroit Pistons: Jerami Grant will have more than 3.5 assists

This is more of a long shot bet since you are getting +130 and Grant is only averaging three assists per game on the season.

He had four assists in the last game against Orlando and that was with the Pistons only making 11-of-40 from 3-point range. Some of those misses were on Grant passes, so if a few more of those go in tonight, he should be able to get over 3.5 in the game.

Grant will have the ball in his hands even more, so should continue to see his assist numbers rise, so it’s a logical value bet.

The Detroit Pistons are playing hard but losing, which makes them tough to bet as a team, but there is some value to be had on players like Jerami Grant.
