Detroit Pistons: Why the Pistons would do it

This seems like a no-brainer for Detroit and might still be even if they had to include a protected 1st-round pick.

Bridges has talent, is from the area and might be looked at as a potential long-term fit with the rebuilding Pistons, who just need to add talent at this point and don’t have to worry about position.

Yes, they already have several players who are similar to Bridges, but you can never have too many wings in today’s NBA and the Pistons could always use one of them to make a future trade.

With guys like Jerami Grant and Josh Jackson thriving with expanded roles in Detroit, Bridges could be another who could break out if he had a new home, especially since he’d be playing in front of his hometown fans.

Detroit can’t be picky and just needs to keep adding talent and assets to their roster as they try to rebuild.

Troy Weaver will be scouring the league for these types of players, guys who might not have a future with their current team but could have one in Detroit.
