Detroit Pistons: Breaking down a proposed trade for Jerami Grant

Here is the trade that Hardwood Houdini proposed, which would at least get the Detroit Pistons on the phone:

Phew! That is a lot to take in. I do not think that Danny Ainge would offer such a package, mostly because he has shied away from doing it before, most notably for Anthony Davis.

Ainge is becoming known as the “we almost got him!” GM, so who knows, maybe he would finally move off some of the Celtics’ massive coffer of picks to get another piece in Boston.

This would be an “all-in” move for Boston, but one they might make given their expectations for this season coming in, which were basically Finals or bust.

It makes some sense for both sides, as the Celtics would get two players they can go to war with in the playoffs and the Detroit Pistons would net a massive haul that would put their rebuild into hyperdrive.

Who would say no?
