Detroit Pistons: Is Jerami Grant injured?

Jerami Grant missed the last few games before the break with injury though he is not currently listed on the Pistons’ injury report.

This will be something to monitor as the season goes on, as Grant’s play has made it difficult for Detroit to go into full tank mode.

It’s possible that we will see Grant sit with some minor “injuries” and on the second day of a back-to-back in order to keep him healthy and ensure the Pistons don’t win too many games.

The Pistons have one of the easiest schedules in the NBA in the second half, so some creative roster management might be necessary to help keep them in the bottom-3 of the NBA.

The Timberwolves, Rockets and Magic are all tanking away too, so the Pistons can’t waste this season by winning a bunch of meaningless games down the stretch and messing up their chances at a top pick.

The Pistons have seven back-to-backs in the second half and we might not see Grant play in any of them, which is completely fine with me.

This is not the year to win down the stretch and we could see the roster adjusted accordingly.
