Detroit Pistons: 3 things to watch vs. the Charlotte Hornets
Detroit Pistons: Which veteran will be traded first?
With the trade deadline approaching, we should start to get an idea of which Pistons’ veteran will be traded first.
Wayne Ellington is the most likely candidate and it’s possible that we will see him sitting out some games as the deadline gets closer to ensure he doesn’t get injured.
Delon Wright is listed as questionable against the Hornets, so it will be interesting to see how and when the Pistons bring him back.
If they have plans to trade Wright, we might see him sooner rather than later so that he can show prospective trade partners that he is healthy.
If the Pistons plan on keeping him, then there is no reason to rush Wright back early, as having him out will help the tank.
Mason Plumlee is another guy who has put himself on teams’ radars, as he has played well and would be a nice addition to a contender looking for depth.
I doubt Plumlee’s minutes will be affected but if the Pistons get a sense they might trade him, who knows.
It all starts tonight in Charlotte, where the battle of the young point guards and the future of the Detroit Pistons’ veterans will take center stage.
