Detroit Pistons: Can Svi Mykhailiuk be more than just a shooter?

Mykhailiuk had another poor night shooting against the Hornets and is now hitting just 33 percent from long range for the season.

But Mykhailiuk did a lot of other things to impact the game and is showing that he can be more than just a guy who stands at the 3-point line.

Mykhailiuk had eight assists against the Hornets to lead the team and also added four rebounds and two steals.

Svi has been particularly good in the latter category lately, swiping two steals in each of the last three games.

His assists have also increased lately, notching 17 total in his last four games while adding 13 rebounds in the same stretch.

Mykhailiuk has the size to be an above average defender and rebounder, and if he can continue to do those things while making plays for teammates, then the Detroit Pistons might be able to overlook his poor shooting, which will eventually come around.

Mykhailiuk is one of the wildcards of this season and is trying to shot he has a place with the Detroit Pistons long term.
